[:)I am also a senior who is having a hard time loosing some weight. My problem is, I think, portions.
I love to cook and prepare each meal happily. I choose a varity of vegetables but seem to not desire meat much anymore. I know beans, and some vegs contain protein but find I must take Vitamin 12 to cover days where I find no protein was consumed. I also drink lots of skim milk, eat a cottage cheese or yogurt a couple times a week and eat eggs maybe 2 a week.
I rarely eat bread but do enjoy spaghetti, maybe once a month and I eat a great plate full covered in Newman's Sockarooni. I buy frozen vegs cause I cant eat fresh because it is too much for one person.
I do make salads with lots of vegs in them. I can't seem to eat enough fish. I hate the smell that lingers in my efficiency so I use salmon or tuna canned. I love to bake cake and cookies and usually give most of it away.
